I have multiple personalities, one of which is a five year old. She doesn't understand why she can't sit on Santa's lap this year. Should my fiancee and I let her, or is there a way we can explain the situation to her? ONLY serious answers please, and please no degrading comments. I am honestly concerned about her feelings.

Thank you to both people who have answered so far! I really appreciate the kindness. We thought about buying a suit, but our Wal-Mart is all out. We're still looking, though.

let your boyfriend dress as santa she won't notice the difference, i'm sure your boy friend never gets bored with you. happy holidays

have your husband tell santa or the lady at the counter that you are mentally challenged with a five year old mentality, so they are more apt to let you do it. And then Ya let her do it!!! Why not let her sit on Santas lap every other kid can!! Have fun

Hmm, I agree with the previous poster. Your strongest personality would NOT be aware of the others.Let her sit on Santa's lap. Lots of older people do it for fun!

Obviously you've gotten some help since the 'base personality' doesn't actively know about the other personalities.. it has to be told... so as long as your therapist doesn't mind you actively endorsing these other personalities that's fine, go for it. Maybe a little fun will help you heal the rift.
