So I missed my period this month, after taking many tests including going to the doctor I confirmed that I was not pregnant, I also don't have any other health problems which could be causing it, so we ruled it down to just stress, I started bleeding a bit a week ago, and I was really happy because I thought it meant my period was starting, I had unprotected sex believing it to be a "safe" time, it's been a week since and my period never did come although I have been having cramps, I'm pretty sure I was not ovulating at the time considering I was spotting and it was 4 weeks after the time I should have ovulated, but I'm just wondering if maybe the "safe" time was not as safe as I thought it was

Everyone ovulates at slightly different time. Why would you risk getting pregnant by having unprotected sex. No time is "safe" to have unprotected sex if you are not on birth control pills. You should get on the pill and then you won't be as worried. Don't be stupid.

Some women ovulate during their period or right after. Ovulation at 14 days is just a 'rule of thumb' but is not necessarily the case for EVERY woman. Take another test - get a blood test...some women do not test positive with over the counter urine tests.

OK please remember this:

There is NO SAFE time to have unprotected sex!

Even using birth control you still risk the chance of pregnancy.

Before, after, during a period you risk the chance of pregnancy.

ANY TIME you have sex you risk the chance of pregnancy.

You'll just have to wait a few weeks and take another test.
