Your pediatrician will have a preferred schedule of recommended well-baby check-ups. You should call the office and ask them when your baby should come in for his/her next check up. In the first few months, many doctors like to see the baby monthly until 6 months old, then again at 9 months and 12 months. After an 18 month check up then it generally goes to yearly check ups.

Most of the time, the 2-3 weeks check up is simply getting a weight measurement. You will also be given time to ask all the questions you have. Before you leave, schedule your baby's 2 month well child exam. You can also ask for information about the vaccines that will be given at that visit if you want to read ahead.

Good luck and congrats!
