I know that physics is divided into the macro and micro versions, each with there own set of rules that don't apply to the other. What are the specific names of these two divisions, and why is it that we can't combine them into one huge division for physics. : /

Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity.

There is allegedly a unification theory, but I'm not so sure.
