Area = Length x Width
Area = (7x + 3) x (2x - 1)
Area = 14x^2 -7x +6x - 3 ~ FOIL (Multiply First terms, Outer Terms, Inner terms, Last Terms)
Area = 14x^2 -x - 3 ~collect like terms where {x^2 is x squared}

Final Answer: Area = 14x^2 -x - 3

Area of a rectangle = lxw
= (2x-1) (7x+3)
= 14x^2-7x-3+6x
= 14x^2-x-3

A = ( 2x - 1 ) ( 7x + 3 )
A = 14 x ² + 6x - 7x - 3
A = 14 x ² - x - 3 ft ²

Since area of a rectangle is l x w (length times width) the area of your "algebraic" rectangle is

A = (7x-3)(2x-1) which you should be able to multiply out. If you can't check your text index for multiplying polynomials.

multiplt hte binomials:

2x times 7x = 14x^2
2x times 3= 6x
-1 times 7x = -7x
-1 times 3 = -3

now add the terms

14x^2 -x-3
