we don't do themed christmas trees. I put white lights on the inside branches and the color lights on the outer branches. I have a collection of ornaments dating back many, many years from my grandmother and usually pick up an ornament or 2 each year.

Green tree.....artifical

From the first year we were married (37 years ago) we bought a decoration for the tree for us and when the kids came they each got one. We tag each decoration with name and year. When the kids got married they got all their decorations to give them a start on their own tree. We still buy one for each of us and now the grandchildren get one each year. Our tree is green but pretty full with multi colored decorations. Every year we look at the dates and go down memory lane.

Green tree, red tinsel, multicolored lights, and all colors of ornaments. I usually go for the childish looking ornaments or homemade ones because my kids love getting involved.
