If I could leave anything for the world it would be a better understanding of this.
A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.
After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.
Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.
I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.
I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.
If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.
I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.
Love and blessings
Your brother

Yes, sure !!
Ever since I was a child I always thought of doing something for the world. Now I am satisfied with the work that I am doing. I am in the field of power generation and I feel proud to lighten up the life of million of people.
Its nice to be a part of a mission for the welfare of humanity.

Yes of course - but I find that if I do things on a small scale, rather than having grand aspirations, I contribute a lot more. Small contributions like donating blood, helping clean the beaches, planting trees, and helping raise finds for worthy causes are very important in their own ways. I think that we should all endeavor to leave the world a better place for our having been here.

I will and do. Regardless of how insignificant you think you are, you have way more affect on the people around you than you can realize.
I like to use the Robert Heinlein, "Pay if forward" theory.
What little help or kindness you show someone today, may be just the thing that changes their life. You may not know it, they may not recongize it...but it happens.
Most people are so center-centric in their lives that they do not look outside their own box and see the life of others and how they affect them.

Just Now!
I thought of saying hello to all the people out there that I
didn't get to meet. Don't you ever wonder about them?
And I guess I would want to be able to say good-bye one
last time to those I've known and loved.
But the memories people hold of us will be what we all leave behind! :)

Funny enough, just before I decided to take a break and come on-line, I was working on something that will eventually revolutionise the world as we know it (that is if I'm successful).

Yes.
I don't know that I'll leave anything of major
importance; if I can't then I at least want to
leave happy memories.
Maybe I'll think of something amusing to
put on my gravestone, like the person whose
gravestone said, "See I told you I was sick."
If we can't do big world changing things, we
can at least add some joy to our own little
part of of the world.

Well, I sculpt non-figurative wood that many people find uplifting and help people develop their capabilities to be independently happy as they are. I also conduct free team building sessions.
