This is an unscientific effort to get a "feel" for what the country is doing. I will undoubtedly vote in primaries and general elections. I also believe that the defeat of Islamic terrorism is our #1 issue. The economy is doing well, social security needs fixed and soon, healthcare needs to remain an issue for the open marketplace. Look at all the conflicts around the world and you will see Muslims involved. And YES, I believe we must fight them on their turf and prevent them from moving the battle to ours. Removing the troops brings the battle home.

Who on today's political landscape is capable of bringing the "change" that is mentioned each and every election cycle? They all say we need change. Few are able to effect change.

Not voting is voting for "none of the above"? I haven't seen that option on any ballot. These are the people who will represent our country, change our laws and establish policies that will effect you and your children. Find a candidate who in "most respects" you can identify with.
However under our current 2 party system, little gets done if it isn't part of the "parties agenda".

I shall vote (as I always do) because it is a privilege and an obligation as a citizen. I agree that our country's future is literally 'at stake' and may hinge upon who is elected as our next President. At the least the next President will have tremendous and perhaps irreversible consequences on the future of this nation. I would look beyond the "issues" that appear in the news each day and to a candidate who may be able to effect true changes while maintaining the character of our nation and perhaps in at least two cases causing many of our citizens to view themselves in a new light. Unfortunately, I could never vote for Hillary simply because I hate putting too much power in the hands of one family and her husband was, after all, our President for eight years. Enough of 'their' ideas. I plan to vote for 'change', hopefully for the better......

Edit (to answer followup) :
I wish I had a crystal ball and could predict who both stands for change and has the muscle and savvy to effect it. Lacking one, I must go with what I hear a candidate say (if I feel they are credible and candid) they support and weigh that together with how effective I believe they might be. I will look for someone who is four-square for The Fair Tax proposal and against the current (unfair and laden with waste) systems of tax collection. The USA cannot operate without money. And since that money must have real value on the world market, I want a candidate who will work towards revitalizing our manufacturing industry that has been gutted by benefits given to corporations and governments for making products overseas and sending them for sale into the USA under trade agreements that are wieghted in their favor. I want someone who will continue a strong defense policy, sometimes with a good offense being the best defense, someone who will increase troop strength, but will place them more advantageously than now (Germany, Korea and other 'faith' outposts primarially) and will use a really 'Big Stick' to stop any aggression, real or imminently potential. Even if Roe v Wade is overturned I want someone who will help do whatever is necessary in our country to maintain a woman's freedom to have a legal abortion (up through the 18th, arguable, week) while placing a great emphasis on teaching men and women to not be engaged in acts that may result in a pregnancy that is 'undesired' by both parties. I want someone who will not only stop illegal immigration but also expel those who came into the USA illegally, increase the number of visas granted and the system that processes them, and has Congress repeal the archaic law that grants anyone born on US soil citizenry. If one of their parents isn't a citizen or legal resident working toward citizenry already then the children should not have citizenship.
I have a laundry list! I hope everyone does. I hope the two parties will give us at least one candidate who meets a number of my ideals. I hope we get an honest, unencumbered, astute and brave individual!

I will vote for this election. I think it would be a huge mistake for anyone not to vote.

Usually when presidential elections have the same platform and just a couple of concerns the public has real doubts over, but our country is headed in a bad direction and we need to turn this around.

Affordable health-care coverage for all Americans

Social Security Benefits

Modernizing and having health-care that meets or exceeds the minimal requirements for our veterans of the military( They have fought for our country, and can not get decent health-care)

Solving the conflict in Iraq(I'm not for the war, but I know that if any president decided to just pull out our troops without a feasible resolution, it would do more harm than good.)

Restructuring welfare(Anyone healthy enough to work and doesn't would have automatic community service, I wouldn't care if it includes walking the old lady who lives next door to your house's dog, welfare and government benefits should have stipulations and limits, also random drug and alcohol testing for all recipients.)

Changing the immigration laws

Michael Dale Huckabee (born August 24, 1955) served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas and currently hosts the Fox News Channel talk show Huckabee. He was a candidate in the 2008 United States Republican presidential primaries, finishing second in delegate count and third in both popular vote and number of states won (behind John S. McCain and Mitt Romney). He won the Iowa Republican caucuses. Following losses to McCain in the Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island primaries, Huckabee exited the race on March 4, 2008 as McCain became the presumptive Republican nominee. Huckabee is the author of several best selling books, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, musician and a public speaker. He is also an ABC Radio political commentator. He and his wife, Janet, have been married for 36 years and have three grown children: John Mark, David, and Sarah. Janet Huckabee was an unsuccessful candidate for Arkansas Secretary of State in 2002.

I am certainly voting...too many people died for my right to vote. Moreover, I think that many others around the world would love the opportunity to vote, so who am I to not exercise my right?

Any-who, I believe that the war and the economy are tied for #1 on my list. I'm concerned about the massive loss of military and civilian life versus the not-so-massive amount of information we have about the *true* state of affairs in the Middle East.
Gas prices are skyrocketing, food is becoming more and more expensive, jobs are being lost and the American dollar is losing value every day. {I'm not sure where you live, but where I live, the economy needs a lot of work.}
Some other issues that are indeed on my radar are: global warming, education, health care, Social Security and interest rates.

All politicians have big promises during their campaigns and they all lie....For me, it usually comes down to the lesser of the evils and right now, I'm not sure who that might be. I'm absorbing as much information as I can in order to make an informed and intelligent decision next November.

So far I do not see any 'candidates' on either side worthy enough to endure my going out in freezing temperatures to vote,so... NO I will not be voting.
Before you trot out that tired old "you don't vote, you can't complain" bullsh*t,I'll tell you that a vote for any candidate that is the least of bad choices is wrong..it is not a vote for what you believe but a vote of social complicity...not voting because you see no VIABLE candidate is in itself, a vote for "None Of The Above". I will not compromise my hard won right to vote for anyone that offers me nothing in return..and what I want is effective governance and good stewardship of The Republic.
None of the mooks on the campaign today offers any cogent solutions,on immigration,on unfair trade pacts we're saddled with, and so with non-entities spouting non-sensical platittudes to curry the favor of specific voting blocs,I decline to vote. They don't have a clue of what it takes to govern effectively or rightly.
Merry Christmas.
