Someone told me there's an electronic mind reader which can read your mind, so if I was to think "aardvark", it would get it(possibly with a series of questions?). I forgot what he said it was called...

it's not a mind reader though. Not at all.
It's actually a neural net, i.e it learns data that's input from the millions of users, and possible combinations etc to come up with a suitable output from the answers you give.
