All, with the exclusion of (A)
Logic: Cathode and/or anodes are matter. Matter is of Atoms, Atoms have electrons, neutrons and protons. To say otherwise is to have a contradiction. Science has no place for such mind thought.
Diodes reverse current flow mechanisms and is the process in which we employ the cathode and anode. If this word (relation) is to mean a bloodline, the diode maybe the administrator of the marriage.

Cathode = negative terminal. Anode = positive terminal.

It's generally used in the context of solutions, the electrolysis of water for instance, or vacuum tubes.

A diode has one of each, but can hardly be 'a relationship between cathode & anode'. Who set this question, anyway?
