Yes it do rain in Bahrain although all over, the Gulf rarely have rain showers. When I arrived in Bahrain last March, it rained after 2 weeks. I had childlike enthusiasm when i heard those pitter-patter on the roof of our shared garage. My husband who rarely sees rain opened the window and stuck his head out to let the rain drop on his face. Unfortunately the rain did not last long =(

If likewise you are curious if it rains in UAE, yes it does. I haven't been to Ras Al-Khaimah but I heard they have good rains there and in fact RAK is lush and green and cold. In 2006 it did rain hard on Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai for 2-3 days and sporadically after that. Some establishments were not ready for the heavy rains and were flooded or damaged. Lessons learned, I can say most Dubai establishments are prepared to beat rain showers =)

Rain In Bahrain

yes it does... but rarely.. Here in this region (I am 30min away from Bahrain on the east coast of SaudiArabia). We share the same weather.. It will rain in the winter anytime from late October through March. that is the season, but as I said, its rare, Usually we have tiny small sprinkles early in the cool of the morning when there are clouds and it dries up by 9am.. You might see it rain once throughout the whole winter.. And if we have a large rain, it usually comes about the 2nd week of January.. 10years ago we had severe flooding, so much so that there was 1 foot of standing water in the streets, the schools closed cause the busses couldnt run.. I can remember my father holding up his pants without his shoes on just to get to the car.. But this is extremely rare..
