I am amused by the number of people who answer this question by stating some other team that beat the Steelers, and then follow up by saying, "What do you think?" Obviously, Texasbubba thinks they have a chance or she wouldn't have asked this question.
Yes, the Jets beat the Steelers. And everyone here knows the old axiom about any given Sunday. Prior to that game, if someone had posted a question saying, "Can the Jets beat the Steelers this Sunday," I suppose this same gang of "experts" would have answered, "The Steelers are in first place in their division and the Jets don't have a win. What do you think?". And yet it happened. So there you go. The Jets had a great day and caught the Steelers on a bad day.
As for the Miami game, I can't imagine that anyone here watched that game and can take it seriously as an indication of either team's ability. The field conditions made it more of a test of will than a test of football ability. And even there, the Steelers triumphed.
Obviously, the Steelers have a chance of beating the Patriots. They've done it plenty of times in the past, most notoriously when they ended their long-running win streak three years ago with a rookie quarterback... the same one they have now, as a matter of fact.
While I agree with one of the answerers who said that ANY game against the Patriots is going to be hyped as the game of the year, that will only be true if the other team is perceived to have some chance of beating them. The Steelers are not only PERCEIVED as having a chance, they DO have a chance. I'm not saying it's a certainty; nothing is; but they certainly have a chance. And if they pull it off, it will be interesting to come back to this question afterward and see which of you has the ability to admit that you were wrong.

I think the Steelers have more to prove in this game than the Patriots , i personally think the Steelers are Frauds at 9-3 . This will be the Steelers 1st test against a legit contender for the play-offs this year . I think the Patritos prove that the Steelers are really not that good of a team .
Patriots 38
Steelers 13

The steelers have played 2 teams over 500 all season, and they didn't look good in most of those games. They lost to the Jets, Cards and Broncos and they barely beat the miami dolphins at home. I don't think the steelers are that good, they will bring everything they got so new england will win by 7 or so.

The Steelers could be the last best hope to pin a loss on the Patriots this year. With that being said, edge to the Patriots at home next week.

Any team that plays the Pat's from here on out will give it their all. The Steelers have the most potential. The Cowboy, Colts, Steelers have been the biggest threat to the Pat's on their schedule. The Steelers have the biggest advantage because the Pat's are sore and injured etc.

i love how everyone says the steelers haven't had a real opponent. This is the NFL, all the teams are up to the challenge, all are pro athletes, with pro staff. How about NE's schedule. There division sucks, and besides dallas and indy, they're schedule is crap.
Pitt ended the run at 21, and will end it again at 12

This is going to be a great game. The best defense in the NFL against the best offense in the NFL. As the ol' mantra goes, defense wins championships! GO STEELERS!

any team playing against the Pats is hyped up as the "game of the season". for all we know, if the pats are still perfect against the winless dolphins, it'll be the game of the year. next weeks game will not be no game of the year but it will be a good one. no more 30 point blowouts thats for sure. so the entire NFL world has figured out the pats! thanks to great football and ESPN's horrible journalism. this will be a good game though but i'm staying w/ my home team.
