Skype is very simple actually. It's a free sign-up and then you are able to "call" other people who are signed on anywhere in the world free. It requires a high speed provider, a microphone and if you wish to add a cam you can. Do not sign up to call regular phone lines. They charge for that and it's not necessary and do not use their link for chat rooms. You will get every wacko from everywhere. My husband and I use it when he is traveling in Europe and China. After you set up your ID placing a call is as simple as clicking on the green dial button. The person you are calling has to be online and when you are done, just click on the red stop button. As the above. I have it, but find it of limited use. Have to call Holland on Volpstunt to tell them to switchn their computer on and prepare...!
But it's good fun with the ability to send written messages and some of theirgraphics etc.
