That's usually a sign of migranes. Do you get them frequently? If so you might need to see a doctor for medication.
Otherwise you can get Excedrin Migrane (over the counter). I usually take 3 with my headaches and viola I'm feelin' like a million dollars.
Typically I get headaches when I'm hungry, or lacking sleep. Taking care of the underlying cause (i.e. eat, or sleep) should help you also.

I am not sure how to prevent it, but to get rid of it, try rubbing a lemon peel on your forehead at the first sign of the headache!!!

I agree- a hat with a large brim to shade your eyes and a good pair of sunglasses. Excess light hurts my eyes too, probably because I'm indoors so much.

OMG specific!! sometimes as quickly as I get domicile from college i'm getting this truly truly painful headache it somewhat is justTHROBBING AND THROBBING!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it hurts plenty!!!!!! i didnt have a headache immediately becuz my day replaced into tremendously reliable yet i nevertheless will supply u a megastar!!
