In the last year or so I have lost my 'perfect' figure and now have a normal tummy with a little roll and a butt thats cute but not tight as a rock- this is because I have been busy working etc to go to the gym.. My husband just said to me recently that my stomach looked pregnant and "What happened to my butt? It used to be tight and 'bubbly' but now its... well... not..."
I just snapped- BURST out crying and he just tells me to shut up??? WTF??? I told him "I thought you married me for a hell of a lot deeper reasons than my BODY. ANd has HE looked in the mirror lately??? He's NO brad pitt. Has a huge beer gut, a double chin and is half bald and has the nerve to say that to ME? his wife he's supposed to LOVE MUCH deeper than That? Such superficiality????"
But not an ounce of apology or repentance for his attitude. He's gone to bed and I am ere crying. WTF??? I was hugging and kissing him at thhe time- what a shock. I feel so stabbed in the back and confused.How do I deal with this?

He might not have meant it as an insult--he probably just noticed it and like most men, speak before they think. If it makes you feel better, next time you see him naked say OH MY GOD! What happened to you? Your hair is falling out, your gut is growing, your chin is multiplying and your penis is shrinking!!

I'm sorry Hun, that wasn't very nice of him to say. Guy's just don't seem to have the same hang ups about their bodies as we do, so they don't seem to understand how much comments like those can hurt.
I can't believe that people were telling you to leave after this fight though! Are they serious? Obviously you love your husband and if he married you I'm sure he loves you too. Talk to him in the morning or when you guys get home tomorrow and see how he reacts. Maybe he didn't understand exactly how badly he hurt your feelings.

He must have somehow felt justified in saying that to you. Perhaps he was in a mood where a mean streak ran up his azz. I'm sorry, the main thing is do you feel beautiful? If so, tell him to shove it. Men admire confidence, and instead of crying proudly say, " I like the way I look". Let him know after you have cooled down that you did not appreciate the way he talked to you and that his looks need some work. See how he feels once the tables are turned. Good luck.

That was really mean of him to say that to you. He must not have thought that you would take it hard if he told you that, so he went ahead and did.
Maybe he was in a bad mood when he said it, and that's why he didn't apologize or anything. See how he is the next day and see if you are feeling better. You can try talking to him about it and let him see that it really hurt your feelings when he made those comments. If he can't be compassionate enough to see that he hurt you, then he has some issues. He should feel bad and apologize.

He might have just felt like being open! Since it was a semi-intimate setting he thought that it was the perfect time to lay it on you. He could have been thinking it for who know's how long. My husband says things like that to me too, but my husband is in better shape than I am! For some reason men think it doesn't necessarily matter what they look like, but they expect us to be in top notch shape. The crazy inner workings of the male mind!

Well, if i were you just ignore him and start go to the gym from now on. Then, if you think that you are looks hot and sexy to him, don't you ever ever say yes when he's hunger for your love, if you know what i mean...lol ...

Sounds like a real winner to me. I'm sorry that he did that to you. Unfortunately, I have no advice other than to let him know all of the facts as to how you feel. If he doesn't rethink his position, maybe it's time for some counseling.
