After I eliminated meat from my diet, I lost five pounds. It wasn't intentional, but it was just an overhaul of what I was and wasn't eating. (I also had previously quit smoking about a month or two prior, so I debunked the weight gain theory, I guess.) When I fully eliminated eggs and dairy, I lost another five pounds. Sure, I eat plenty of carbs, but they're from fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc. Good, whole real food. I avoid junk "food" like white rice, white bread, and other forms of processed conglomerations. Yes, I do eat processed foods, but they are minimally so, like the black bean burger I had for dinner last night (12 grams of protein; with the two slices of whole wheat bread, it was 20 grams).

Hey! Vegetarianism is the way to go. In today's world where people are getting sick because of processed and hormone infested meats, it is better to stay away from meats. Unless they are organic but take into consideration that going to an organic lifestyle is quite expensive especially when it comes to meats. But I would say definitely eat organic fruits and vegetables as they are good for you and contain minimal pesticides. In addition whoever told you that you are omitting protein and you will overdose on carbs is wrong. The vegetarian diet has so many alternatives for getting your protein. Such as beans, tofu, milk, cheese, peanut butter, and many more. Just keep your self in check with your carbs. But definitely go for vegetarianism.

NO.
You become fat by eating too much FAT and CARBOHYDRATES.
as a vegetarian you are most likely going to decrease the amount of protien in your diet as you wont be eating meat.
As a result your diet may be more restricted to fat and carbohydrates found in plant products.

If you eat it all in modertion then yes you will, but just because its fruit and vegetables doesnt mean you can stuff your face with it because you will get fat.
Overall i think you'll become healthier and be in a better mood.
