Dude, give it up! Your argument is lame!

How many people occupied this country when the Pilgrims came? I don't think Indians had the concept of property ownership. They were nomadic people.

Besides, even the ancestors of the indigenous people that were here in America crossed what is now known as the Bering Strait to get here in approx. 10,000 years ago from North East Asia. It was not until the 15th Century that people from Europe came to this country. The approximate, and this is only an educated guess, number of indigenous people here when Columbus arrived is estimated at 40 -90 million. The population of the United States is some 350 million now give or take a few million missed by the census.

So if you want to use this silly argument lets get down to the nut cutting!

Your ignorance astounds me. In the days of the Pilgrams, there were no laws governing immigration.

In this day, there are laws that govern immigration. An immigrant that has obeyed the laws of this country is most welcome.

An illegal immigrant is nothing more than a common criminal. Blatently ignoring our laws when he crossed the border. Any one offering a job, housing, money, or any other assistance to an illegal immigrant is also guilty of a crime. Aiding and abetting a criminal is a crime in every state of this country.

We can easily stop illegal immigration simply by enforcing the laws of this country. Our government does not do so because they see illegal immigration as tax dollars.

There were no such laws back then thus no way to be an illegal immigrant, The land wasn't settled, owned or colonized. It was just inhabited.
If the Native Americans had laws back then, not that anyone in the world had structured laws, then history would have been different.................but that's not the case, now is it.

Anyways, laws are no good if they are not enforced and immigration laws are not pesky in the lease, unfortunately they are needed and need to be enforced. Apparently, not everyone respects laws.....oh how sad.

disagree.

Disagree.

If the Native Americans had a recognized country with recognized international boarders and immigration laws then the pilgrims who settled with authorization and following procedure who have been illegal immigrants. Since they didn't and the country wasn't recognized internationally then the pilgrims did not brake any laws and settled legally. This makes them legal migrants.

Disagree. The land was claimed by England. They were allowed to colonized the land in the name of the King.

Therefore, the Pilgrims were not illegal immigrants.

Sure . . . it's a moot point. It's not like we're going to give the land back to the Indians. Imagine the world-wide chaos that would come if the world just threw out immigration laws . . .

Thank God they didn't have the foresight to protect themselves! When there were no immigration laws there were no illegal aliens.

Disagree. They broke no immigration laws. I also find this redundant argument plain out stupid. If this is the best you have got, you ought to go ahead, hang it up and get started supporting deportation.

Disagree. You said it yourself... we'd have to "imagine" they had immigration laws. In real life, they didn't.
