"Your guardian angel must have been working overtime" or "God must have been watching over you." or something along that line concerning my accident that blew out my eye.

It drives me insane! How can they dare to belittle my body's resilience?

My family was very poor growing up, too the point that I was about malnourished. S yes, I have been and still am self reliant. Quite often I help both my mother and my father when they are in need even though I never had anything growing up.

My self reliance is something that I take much pride in, thank you very much.

I know the feeling.

Remember after the tsumani in India, when that baby was found at sea floating on a mattress? Some woman told me "GOD was watching over that baby!"

I asked "What about the other hundred thousand who died? Are you an idiot?"

So you gonna tell me next dat you Earned your way out of yo mamma's womb, earned your way to pay for your baby formula,, earned your way to go to school?

Sometimes we earn what we get, but many times we receive what we don't deserve and that's when we should be thankful.

Remember the story of the pastor who complemented a person on his garden?

'You and God have done a great job on that garden.'

'Yes, thank you. You should have seen it when God had it to himself.'
