What about evolution? Of course there's scientific evidence for it - evolution is a scientific theory (and a cracking good one too!).
So?
Additional details. Science saves lives - for which I am very grateful. God saves souls, for which ...

oh come on now, surely, really, no one with an ounce of sense still listens to all that hockum about ...
..ooh, but monkeys don't give birth to humans, and oooh, no life evolves in peanut butter jars, ooh, the devil put dinosaur bones there. (the devil? strange how it takes religion to create the concept of evil) anyway, i digress.
evolution is an ongoing process which takes millions, even billions of years (and no, not 6000 years or whatever!), and it's blind, as it were. there is no 'plan' or 'blueprint', just mutations which may or may not be advantageous to a species. the advantageous mutations are more likely to be passed on, because the 'host' organism is better suited to survive and pass on these genes. no one is telling me that some sort of grand designer planned everything to be just as it is - if so, this designer chap must either have been in a rush, bored or just not very good.
think about it, who would 'create' humans, then give them poorly designed eyes? a heart that is simply not good enough for the job? (humans suffer far more heart problems than other primates), male nipples?, haemorroids?, male pattern baldness?, only two sets of teeth? badly designed female pelvis? aging of the skin? cancer? a (comparitively)poor sense of smell?, margaret thatcher? come on, wise up.

Martin S. Intelligent design is just creationism in a cheap tuxedo. If you believe the creationist rubbish then xmas cards would have the infant jeebus in his manger with a donkey, an ox, a sheep and a tyrannosaurus rex

You could equally say "evolutionists, what about creation?".
People berate people for believing in creation as being gullible and yet most people who believe in evolution have not questioned it in any way. They believe it because it suits them.
There is VERY LITTLE evidence for the THEORIES and suppositions of evolutionists. They even admit these drawings of hair covered men in school text books are not based on evidence.
There are too many unanswered questions with evolution.
Here is one; If evolution tells us we evolve to fill needs and survival of the fittest, what about all things we have that we don't need for life? Why do we make and enjoy music? Why do we even consider spiritual things? Why do act altruistically to help others, even risking our own life on occasion?.
None of these things are NEEDED for life so why did they evolve.

I would just like to say this to the ignorant among us:
THERE IS EVIDENCE FOR EVOLUTION
In evolution, it was not like one day monkeys started giving birth to humans. It was a very gradual process. The transformation is so slow that we can't notice it in our lifetimes.
But this does not mean that there is no evidence for evolution. We can see evolution taking place in front of our own eyes.
Look at antibiotic resistant bacteria. If it was creation, they should have all died out when antibiotics are introduced into their environment. Bacteria have evolved to become resistant to the drug.
All those people who say there is no evidence for evolution are ignorant and stupid.

The reason why a majority of them object to evolution is because they have this assumptions that by believing in evolution they are giving up their belief in god.

God saves lives...science can't overcome death...God can.
I believe God created the world and everything in it, how He did it, we'll never know...evolution is as good a way as any I suppose. The creation story in the Bible is an allegory (look it up) it is not meant to be taken literally!
mdell27..I'm a scientist and I believe in God. I realize that there is a LOT that we don't know and a lot that we will NEVER know.

For all of the Atheist out there....ANOTHER BIG BANG HAPPENED!!!!!
YEARS AGO THIS GAS MIXED UP IN THE ATMOSPHERE AND THIS LIQUID FORMED UP AND FELL TOWARDS THE EARTH......
THE LIQUID TURNED HARD INTO A CYLINDER FORM AND FELL TO THE GROUND.....
THEN A FEW YEARS
LATER A DIFFERENT KIND OF FLUID FORMED UP THAT HAD A BROWN COLOR TO IT, PLUNGED TOWARDS THE EARTH AND LANDED NEXT TO THE CYLINDER...
THEN OSMOSIS HAPPENED AND THE BROWN FLUID WENT INSIDE THE CYLINDER........
THEN FINALLY A RED AND WHITE GAS MIXED TOGETHER AND THEN IT TURNED TO A LIQUID THAT FELL ON TOP OF THE CYLINDER AND MIRACULOUSLY WORDS APPEARED ON THE SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT SAID COCA COLA!!! 8 FL OUNCES!!!!!!
OH YEA......EVOLUTION HAPPENED AND A STRANGE TAB FORMED UP ON THE TOP SO YOU CAN OPEN IT AND DRINK THE BROWN FLUID!!! THAT'S WILD ISN'T IT?
