im trying to figure out what kind of category i would fit in religiously...i guess ive kinda made up my own belief system....in a nutshell, i believe that we choose our life (lives)...we determine what happens, consciously or not, by putting the idea out into the universe (i suppose it's similar to praying...)..we are our own creators.....each person, animal, plant, bug- everything!! are just balls of energy and we're all connected....i think we can get in touch with that connection and that's how we begin to understand our place in the universe.....everything around me is a part of me and i a part of everything else...

i believe that the bible is a book of stories, literature....jesus was a normal man who had the guts to love all people....god (or the idea of a deity) is a created object for people to hide behind b/c they're too afraid to be individuals (part of human nature, i suppose, to go with the crowd)....that's just a bit of my crazy thinking....

am i atheist? agnostic?

if you're still around krabul....i dont think i quite understand your second point, about the growing from desire...? do you mean that by putting my desires out into the universe (my form of prayer) as a 60 year old, i would not be able to receive the body of a 20 year old? do you mean physically or spiritually?

on your third point, i believe in reincarnation (with the twist that we choose when and where)....so before i was born, i was in another body, but same soul/spirit.....the body is only a container for the soul/spirit....at least i think so...

and will check out eastern orthodox....thank you so much for your thoughts!!!

ps- just so you peole know, i am a girl....

Whatever your religion is, I like it!

If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest that you do some reading about far eastern religions: e.g., Buddhism and Hinduism. You will find much there about the unity of all living things.

Well, I understant you verry well. Because I was few years in the same situation. But I changed myself.

So acctually I can find my old mistake and I try to speak from my point of view. And from this point, please read what I will write now:

1. You are your owner only from point of view of choicing. You can choice good or bad. Life or death. To be mercy or to be cruel. And God respect complettly this.
2. You aren`t your body owner. Why? Because the body is not growing from your desire. He are growing only because God put life in your body. And also when you will have 60 years even if you want from your hearth you can`t have a body of 20 years.
3. What you was before your creation. What was you before your mother was borning?

I belive that you are a man/woman searching for God.

Kyrie eleison!

PS:

Reffering of far east religion, try eastern orthodoxy.

The monster under the mattress is something the two politicians and faith with God in it have in basic. interior the case of the politicians they first assure people who they Bogeyman would not exist then they tell the inhabitants the Bogeyman does exist and that they understand who and the place he's. It does look extraordinary would not it. Some of your described beliefs seem to fit the "Law of Attraction" theory described in "the secret".

"Law of Attraction" principle posits that people's feelings and thoughts attract real events in the world into their lives; from the workings of the cosmos to interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs. "
