After arriving here in 1993 I married U.S. citizen. She happened to be a “con” artist and scammed me out of my money and belongings. I lost everything I worked and I also lost my firs and only child … she used him as a weapon to extort money and things from me but denied ever letting me have fathered and son relationship.
After our final divorce I was ordered to pay $86.00 per week based on legal U.S. job that I worked while married to her…. But after divorce USCIS refused to issue me work authorization and I lost my employment and legal status. My US Citizen sister applied for my legal status 3 years ago and it will be minimum 5 years before I may become legal again and able to legally seek employment. My U.S. Citizen “con artist” ex wife is suing me to pay her back $23000.00 in past due child support and is asking $96.00 per week…
What I need to do… I can not work in U.S. I was denied authorization to work …how I can be asked to support this “*****” ... any answers or comments ?

Welcome to America. You got screwed by the U.S. Court system in your divorce like most American men.

You had better find a way of paying your court ordered child support. You could find yourself getting arrested and thrown in jail if you don't. Judges are not sympathetic to any excuses.

You do not have to settle with no visitation rights with your son. Fight for them. Get a lawyer after you get a job.

talk with a lawyer she cant keep you from seeing your only child you can also gain custody if you want if you can get a job.apply for a tax payer id number, with that you can work and pay taxes. or just go with what the guy above said and explain it to the judge.$86 dollars a week is high, why is it so high for one child?especially from 1993.if you have proof you payed anything like birthday gifts ,clothes for the child ,christmas gifts, school supplies ,toys, anything the judge might be more lieniant with you but if it shows you have never tried to help or support or even see your child the judge will be very harsh with you as their are too many deadbeat dads out there.good luck.

Although this isn't nice the simplest way to get out of paying is to leave the country. Once out side the USA the American judicial system has no hold on you and can not force you to do anything.

If you can't work then you need to speak to the judge and explain you situation, they will lower your payments and set up a arrears payments for when you start working. Also they can order visitation rights so that your ex can not stop you seeing the children.

Let the court know about your change in income so they can adjust your current child support amount. Also, submit proof of all the child support payments you've ever made to the District Attorney or Child Support Services that is handling your case.

Honestly, you need to get some help from someone. There are father's rights groups that are available to help people in your situation. There are things you can do to solve this situation, but it is going to take some effort and time on your part.
