If you are looking for value, I would suggest a visit to your nearest Jessops branch, or look them up on the net, under Jessops flashes.

Obviously, make sure it's compatible with your camera, your instruction booklet might help.

Buy the one offered by Olympus for your camera. Compatibility will not be a problem since the flash was designed for the camera.

Check the Olympus FL-50 or FL-36 flash units. Both have a swivel/bounce head and can be used off-camera. I learned long ago that its best to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it. If I were buying a flash for this camera it would be the FL-50.

Olympus offers the FL-BK01 off-camera flash bracket. You'll need either the FL-CB01 or FL-CB02 TTL-TTL cable or the FL-CB0F for use with a generic flash bracket.

Visit alzodigital.com and check out their bracket. Its very affordable.

I have used an off-camera flash bracket since 1976 and can't imagine mounting a large flash on the camera's hot shoe.
