Nowadays, people dye their hair all sort of colours, green, purple, pink, blue and even multi-colours, so what's so strange? Staring at people is always rude but sometimes, we do stare because of the "absurdity" of the way people do themselves up.

Dyed hair = atheism
Sounds like your boyfriend needs to get out more and view the real world. Many many people dye their hair, including men. It certainly is not a sign of being an atheist or a christian.

I weep for you. Your question reveals a lack of imagination, understanding and, well, intellect that truly astounds and frightens me. How on earth did you know he was an atheist? And how is that his defining characteristic? One doesn't say "I went to the mall and saw a Lutheran" or "A Shintoist was in front of me in the bus today". It is utterly bizzarre.

It's not that uncommon. I live in a city where i see lots of guys with dyed hair of pretty much any color. (blonde blue green)
