Imobilizer keys all have to be programmed the antennia around the key cyl activates the chip in the key and the car picks up a good key signal and is allowed to start. So never use a non programed non chip key because after the third attempt the car will lock all the keys out and make you tow it to the Nissan Garage.

the car will start but once you put the key on the ignition and step on the brake the car will shut down.
