I remember my dreams like once a year but I had a recent one that I can't shake. I dreamt my husand was choking me to death and then I woke up but not really because once again I was in the same situation, him choking me. I went through this cycle of him choking me and me "waking up" about 5 or 6 times before I actually did wake up and he was sitting there reading a magazine I started freaking out and screaming "get away from me" (because I thought I was still in this dream) what could this mean?

No my husand is pretty laid back with what I do, he is not controlling at all, but he does have anger managment problems ( not directed towards me but towards randomn strangers, like once a guy cut him off and he got the guy to pull over and broke a bottle over his head) but seriously I swear he has never hit me, and we hardley argue. Perhaps seeing that side of him scares the **** out of me??

Did you wake up gasping for air? If so, maybe you have a partially blocked airway such as the tongue or loose tissue in your throat as happens when people snore.
If so, you might need to be evaluated by your doctor.
If not, is there a reason that you feel that your husband might be not compatible with you?

You might want to take him off the insurance policy....LOL...It might be just a dream, but usually signs of death in a dream is linked to a good thing. Like ending of stress, finacial situation, or just the end of a problem. The choking might means it's gonna take a while to end a current situation you might have, but your husband is going to do it.

Subconsciously you are afraid of him and also you are trying to control yourself in an effort to prevent his anger towards you and are thus feeling choked.

does your husband dictate what you should do everytime? if he does that, it's like he is choking you to death. that is the meaning of your dream.
