Hi...I had my baby two weeks ago and I tore upwards toward my urethral opening instead of a normal perineal tear. I was just wondering how long would it take to heal...I had 2 stitches and I'm not having any real pain..just a little mild discomfort. Also, is it absolutely necessary to wait the full 6 weeks before having sex again? Thanks.

Yes, you have to wait. I had 4th degree tears all the way to my rectum. I don't know how many stitches I had but it took my doctor 45 minutes to sew as far as she could reach. I had to wait 8 weeks per my doctor's advice to resume sex. You don't want to tear/stretch any thing and cause complications for yourself. Six weeks isn't that long, your hubby can wait, he has two hands.

I think pornos gives a false idea as to what sex is supposed to be like so don't try to simulate what you see or feel like you have to be so animated. I love being on top plus it helps men (and by men I mean my hubby) to last longer. I had no clue how to do this when we got married and felt so awkward at first. And yes it takes some building up those leg muscles to last long. Anywho. Once on top just worry about what pleases you with your movements . Your guy will get all he needs from getting to watch. Now as for what you do...I think all the bouncing up and down stuff= ridiculous. One slip of the" you know what" can result in some serious pain...for both. Do more of .. like someone has already said -riding a horse -a canter not a trot. Its all in the hips. and if you get tired have you guy grab your hips and help you along. He'll love it. It also helps if you are leaning forward just a little and maybe have something to hold onto in front of you-bedpost works. And try him sitting in a chair to so that your feet can touch the ground and give you extra leverage. Hope some of this helps.
