I noticed on the passenger door there is a entry button. I didn't want to appear dumb to the sales agent. So question. When I walked up to drivers door with the keyless remote. I was able to push the button and door unlocked. If I'm leaving work/shopping or the club. Can a stranger push the button if I'm in the car to open the doors since I have the remote with me?

Your intelegent key has to be 3 ft from the antennia(s). when the remote moves inside the interior antennis sees you in there and if you lock your doors there is a thin layer of glass protecting you. Please be aware of your surrounding and intelegent key allow you not to have to fumble with keys remotes just get in and go. Your car can move faster than a criminal on foot. When your inside the outside rubber buttons do not work I tried it yesterday when I was reprograming a remote. Lock the door when you get in.

Actually that is an excellent question!

The doorlocks do not work if the remore is inside the car...

This keeps strangers from being able to enter your car when you are at a stoplight and also prevents you from being able to lock yourself out if you keep your car running and get out.

No - a stranger cannot open the opposite side door when you have the key. I've tested it. You have to be right next to it. If he's standing right next to you with a weapon you don't have many choices.

I completely agree with you...........These push button cars are idiotic.....Yes they make things easier to manage, but they also make it easier to be stolen or gotten into.
