I agree with the delusion individual statement. Christians who believe so fully that Jesus existed and will return are all over the place. I've seen several different Jesus' on the streets of New York City screaming like a nutbag. Every one of those Christians write them off as crazy but because this one is in a fairytale from who knows how long ago people think it must be true. Which makes sense coming from a people who thought the world was flat and that natural disasters were God's punishment for lusting after you sister.

There has never been a person named Jesus Christ. Even Christians, at least those who understand anything about Christianity, will admit that. Christ is not a person's name.

He may or may not have been a real person. There is some historical evidence outside the Bible, but mostly all we've got is some pretty wild stories written down by people who talked to other people who say they knew Jesus back in the day.

I think you mean, "who was Jesus Christ?".

Jesus almost certainly existed - but he was a human, just like all the rest of us. Presumably he was a bit of a social agitator... he saw the Roman occupation of his homeland as wrong and spoke against it, which got him a bit crucified.

The divine angle was added later, in an attempt to rally people around a populist figure. Call it an early form of spin-doctoring.

Jesus Christ was most likely a compilation figure based on several Messiah Figures who existed during that time period when most Jews were expecting the appearance of THE Messiah , who most agree failed to appear at that time .

Jesus of Nazareth was almost certainly a real man who lived--and died--about 2000 years ago.

"Christ" is a title (not a surname as it's often used), from the Greek "Christos" meaning "the annointed". The title "Christ" is often applied to Jesus by Christians, who believe that he was/is the son of the god Yahweh.

Yeshua was a guy who is reported to have lived @ 6 CE and who, if real, by all accounts was a pretty good guy....Jesus Christ is a made up fantastical being, whom his followers worship as lord as savior....whos life, teachings, death and resurrection follow many of the other pantheon of gods and prophets in and around and earlier than his time. See:Horus, Appylonius of Tyana, etc.

Jesus is the son of man , He is the alpha and omega. He is God's only begotten son. He is a carpenter. He is a teacher. He is the savoir. He is king of kings and lord of lords. He is a shepherd. He is and is to come.

Well, I myself have never met him. But apparently, many Christians talk to him every day, even though he supposedly died nearly two thousand years ago. I prefer to talk to people that I know can hear me and that can answer in a voice that actually could be recorded.
