Because nobody is going to vote for a person who allows themselves to believe such nonsense. It shows what they do in the face of evidence that they'd rather not see.
No way a man like that should ever be making decisions for a paper route, let alone our whole nation.

He is a personable guy, but the fact that he would consider allowing some kind of creation or ID to be taught is schools is absolutely frightening. We really don't need another science denier in public office.

It is a bit distressing that a Presidential candidate is willing to throw away a hundred years of science in favor of religion. To my mind, that bespeaks someone who is so sure that the Rapture is coming that there is no need to improve life in the here and now.
That's how his beliefs affect his qualifications to be President.

I know we've seen Fred Flintstone putting up a Christmas tree, so I'd have to say yes, they were around.

Actually up till the 1830s-1860s there wasn't the word dinosaur, it was dragon. The bible speaks of dragons. Dragon stands for giant terrible lizard....Hmmmm

Perhaps Huckabee's religious beliefs have no bearing on his qualifications to be president?
I don't think he'll be conducting any science experiments either... so why not focus on his policies?

the bible describes a couple of creatures in such a way that some scholars believe the writers may have been describing dinosaurs. behemoth is said to be the mightiest of all God’s creatures, a giant whose tail is likened to a cedar tree [job 40:15ff]. some scholars have tried to identify behemoth as either an elephant or a hippopotamus. others point out that elephants and hippopotamuses have very thin tails, nothing comparable to a cedar tree. dinosaurs like the brachiosaurus and the diplodocus on the other had huge tails which one could easily compare to a cedar tree.

Who said he doesn't believe in dinosaurs? I believe in them, but I do not believe we evolved from apes. I believe in evolution within a species, not one species evolving into another species.
