Here is the deal...I am incredibly athletic. I just quit my college baseball team (I was the team captain and starting catcher), because I want to get into mixed martial arts - my point is that I can compete with taller guys, my height is not a disadvantage. I am in great shape - cut and buff... Also, i've got a 3.7 gpa in college, so I'm smart. However, I'm 5'6" and single, and all I hear about is how "short" I am, not that I am in great physical shape, or that I am really intelligent...do women really have something against guys that are not tall, or am I just having some bad luck?

Well Cpt,

Have you ever thought about the women you are approaching? Not all the ladies out there require tall men. In fact with me only be about 5'2 1/2 :) Just about everyone it tall to me, but on a serious note try finding ladies that have brains and the beauty on the inside, not just on the outside. Try going to the laundry mat, the grocery store, and Church. and as far as it being bad luck, I would say just not your time, or maybe you are looking in the wrong places and at the wrong girls. Hope this helped.

Of course, SOME women will have a problem with your height. But why would you be interested in anyone that shallow? Those aren't the women you should be worried about!

What you DO have to worry about is YOUR attitude. I know it sounds like a stereotype, but I can't help it, I see it in your manner of asking the question... Many short men try to make up for their height by being more aggressive and cocky. Do NOT fall into this trap! Women do not -- NOT! -- like aggressive or cocky men! (Well, not normal women, anyway -- if you like biker chicks, go for it.)

I think it's fine to get into martial arts, just be sure you are doing it for the right reasons.

Instead of worrying about your height, try to polish your personality. Be polite, be well groomed and clean (wear pants that FIT), be funny (but not a clown), be interested in the women you are around, as WHOLE people, not just sex objects. And most of all, LISTEN when a woman is talking, give her your UNDIVIDED attention. If you can do that, you will be WAY ahead of the game and you will have women all over you!

properly, i comprehend i like taller adult men. yet yeah i might handle a 5'5 guy and 5'11 guy an identical. and height isn't an excellent deal to all ladies, advantageous, that's an element, and specific, i tend to love tall adult men greater, even regardless of the undeniable fact that it does not continuously remember if the girl relatively likes the guy. different characteristics can relatively make up for height.

i think you're just having some bad luck. i'm 5'8" to 6'...and single...and i like tall guys, but 5'6" is nothing to be ashamed of, especially since you're smart and have a great body. i don't think 5'6" is all that short and i would be focusing more on your intelligence and your physical shape, rather than your height.

I can answer this for you... height is VERY important to them. Even the 5 foot nothing girls want a guy that is 6 foot.

We get bashed for liking a certain type of woman all the time, but women can be just as shallow!

It does matter to some, but any girl that is worthwhile will look past that.
