I ride a stationary bike a couple of times a week, but it is extremely boring. Are there any ways to make it more exciting?
Thankyou.

Try to shake things up a bit - even if you dont have other exercise equipment there is loads you can do - crunches, squats, dips, lunges, skipping with a skipping rope, go for jogs and runs and walks, lift dumbells (or household items if you dont have any dumbells) etc. When you're on the bike listen to music and do interval training (keeps your brain and body from getting bored, and you burn more fat in less time!).
My trick to sticking to my routines (altho my prob is too much exercise...so I do this to make sure I dont over do it) is to write out little cards with totally different workout plans on them that add up to a certain amount of minutes - I stick the cards in a hat and I pull one out each day. It's so much fun because you never know what your workout is going to be! Also helps you know how much exercise you're doing so that you don't slack off or go too overboard. Plus, at the bottom of each card I write something fun that I am going to do that day, like play with my puppy when I finish exercising, or play guitar, meet up with a friend, see a movie etc.
Also, make a few cds or ipod playlists so that you're entertained while you're exercising (just make sure you're concentrating more on technique and your exercise than on the music). You should also grab yourself some good exercise gear (doesn't have to be expensive - bonds are reasonably priced) - that way you'll feel great while you're exercising!
Try to keep motivated by keeping things interesting - do a different workout every day (so make sure the exercise cards have heaps of different workouts on them), and try to eat something different every day!

1) I Always Think Of That When I Workout Cause I Stay Bored But Get A Workout Partner, Listen To Music, Or Watch Tv.

GOOD LUCK

Do some "interval training" (silly name but w/e). It's where you pedal or run at a moderate pace for like 2 min then hard for 1-1.5 min then slow for 1 min and repeat...it seems like a lot to keep track of but I end up working harder and I'm very distracted from the pain of the workout by trying to keep track of the timing. It creates enough variation to make my workout more interesting.

I could never figure out why people will pay big bucks to work out in a gym. They will also pay big bucks for a gardener. Why not do your own gardening, and get your workout at the same time. Look at all the money you'd save. The best part is you're working out outside in the fresh air.

Get a TV and listen to music obviously thats what I do. I have an eliptical though but when I watch a show I like I almost forget that I am exercising.

I listen to music, but I also have to read something, and it has to be interesting. I am extremely easily bored.

To all the people who suggest gardening or biking outdoors, IT'S DECEMBER!!! It's freaking cold where I live.

listen to your favorite tunes, or watch some tv. You will probably go slower because your not focused on the bike as much but its alright because it wont be boring so you can go for longer

Or maybe you could get a workout partner or coach
