I have to use a humidifier or else I wake up with my throat hurting very badly from the dry air. I would highly recommend buying a humidifier and running it at night. You can usually get them for as cheap as $20. And keep lotion handy.. buy a small travel sized lotion for your purse!

Drink plenty of herbal tea or water. Take a hot bath once a week. Exfoliate once a week (hint: when taking a hot bath). Use mosturizing lotions. Wear natural wool not synthetics or cotton. If you have access to sauna - go there once a week insead of hot bath. All this stuff puts your skin on a different schedule so to speak.
Moisturizers is like a bandaid - they help for a few hours.
Vaseline on your face? OMG! No, you're not supposed to use mineral oil on your skin.

try stives mineral therapy- worked better for me than many many others- or try aveeno's baby cream - more expensive- guarantees 24hr protection.
straight OIls which we generally go straight for because we lived in the tropics do NOT help for more than a few hours-(maybe 6-7 with olive oil, lesser with cocnut) you need water in your cream.
Also go for the ultra moisturising bodywash and moisturize immediately after bath.
And of course, drink lots of fluid even if you dont want to- and dont forget the humidifier, or you will find your nostrils drying out!

Take a shower before bed at night, and rub vaseline on problem spots such as your face or feet. It'll lock in the moisture.
Also, use baby oil (I use lavendar scented baby oil) in the shower, that will help seal the moisture into your skin too.

Drink plenty of water and use lotion all over everyday. If you are dark skinned use cocoa butter.

lotion, lotion, lotion...water, water, water.
Also I'm not sure if you are old enough to drink alcohol...but that definitely can dry your skin out even more so lay off that and stick to the water! :)
