Are you talking about a divorce situation and a choice as to which parent to go with? If so, I have been there. I was old enough to choose but since my little sister was going to my mother, I went too. My father was not very kid oriented and didn't really know how to interact with us. As a teenager, i was rebellious, independent and looking to get away with as much as possible. My mother provided a good home for us, my father rarely used his visitation rights, he was out doing his own thing. But when i was about 16 or so I decided i wanted to go live with dad as mom and I fought all the time. I figured i could get away with more at dad's and i was right,lol.. It is a hard situation for many, not for me as I was too independent and a rebel. There are many things to consider. How close are you to one vs the other. Who is better able to provide for you financially. A girl really needs her mother as there are things while you are growing up that a man wouldn't understand. On the same note, a boy needs his dad more after he is no longer a little child. Say a 10-12 yr old is more ready to cut the apron strings of mom and go to dad who maybe will teach him the finer points of how to treat a girl with respect, play boy sports with him and interact in things a mom can't do so much. Single women have it harder usually because their income is less than the fathers. Just remember that choosing one over the other doesnot mean you love either one anyless than the other. But unfortuantely when you reach a certain age you do have to make a choice.

Right here, with my mom. Because unless my boyfriend could jump into my pants pocket and move in with me with my dad who lives in another state, i don't think i could possibly part from living with my mom.

but if i didn't have a boyfriend, i would choose my dad easy. I guess because i haven't lived with my dad since i was 2, and i really miss him. My brother who lived with him for a while in Alaska, always tells me all their great adventures and how enjoyable life was. I always loved my dad simply because he is laid back as my mom is really up-tight.

So, yeah.

I get along better with my father. We have similar personalities. My mom and bother are alike and she favors him over me. Of course, i love them both the same so very much.

Even if I spend more time with my father, and somewhat ignore my mother at times, I can't choose between them.
They both have their own imperfections which annoy me;
they both have different qualities in them that I love :)

I really don't know what you mean but at the end of day, I favor neither. I have been trying to forgive the past. One must realize they do what their parents did because they repeat what they know.
