Do scaling constants affect absolute error?

Question

If i have an area of a circle A=(piD^2)/4 and i calculate 1/A=4/piD^2. Then what is uncertainty of 1/A? d(1/A)

Can someone please help me.

It depends on whether you are looking at absolute or relative uncertainty.
