Ya, someone is messing with you.
Trick/joke question

There is alot of chemical compounds in avocado,
so would need to know which compound to quantitiate.

I know there is 1000/18=55 moles of H2O molecules in a liter of water.

Avogadro's number: (sort of sounds like avocado?)
It takes 6.02 x 10^23 molecules (or items) to form 1 mole.

Just tell your prof. the answer to question is either:
Avocadro's number
Guaca-mole-lake
or Guaca-hoe-lake

I'd turn the table on your prof. and create your own riddle.
grams per mole sounds like
gramcrakers eaten per mole shrew.

If prof. continues to mess with you and your classmates.
Tell prof. you'll holler out some rated-X organic chemistry terminology while prof. is lecturing.
