I am sorry you were hurt and offended by the mean remarks not everyone in the younger generation is like this.
Seniors have a lot to offer young people with their wisdom and advice. My grandma when she was a live was a very wise woman and she had a lot of faith and I learned from her I was very sad when she passed away in 1991.
I am an encourager and this site has helped me through a lot of hard times this year and God has used people on this site to bless and minister to me.
Nothing ever done for God is a waste of time Be encouraged and God bless you. e4g

Once in a while I do feel like giving it up. There is a lot of good as the bad. I do my best to pass over the rude negative questions. They are just bating us. But I sometimes take a break for a day now and then. I like the senior site. At 59 I am pretty close to being a senior.

I believe that to give a good answer to a question that is asked earnestly that we do some good.I`m also a senior and sometimes it takes a lot of patients with some of the questions and answers. There are all kinds of faiths and religions on here and I know some folks only come to poke fun or to start an argument but there are those others who are serious and are looking for good answers.I`ve got a little in- sight myself as not every one interprets the word in the same way so I like coming here.

I stumbled across this section when I was researching for breeding one of our horses. I got some snarky answers there and saw that there was a Religion and Spirituality forum. I thought I would come here for a little comfort! LOL I have been here every since and that was last May. I have had to read more books on other religions, though I had read a great deal before I chose my faith. I have learned to depend on the last two commandments given: Love God with all of your strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. By following these I have found that I love more, and I learn more. I have found it helps to give more weight to what Jesus said than what was said about Him. I'm still learning, but I have not waivered. I am fifty eight years old. I am seeing more civility than I did for a while, which is nice.

Yes, but it's an addiction that I'm just not willing to give up at the moment.
As far as the friendships I've gained as a result of that fateful day I pointed and clicked on the little green Yahoo!Answers icon, I don't believe that I've wasted my time. I have met people here and on Yahoo 360 that have become an important part of my life, and I appreciate and love some of my contacts very much.

I have learned alot of things I had not known before by coming to R&S. I am becoming more spiritual than I have ever been and this is part of my soul searching. I'm sorry to hear you think you are wasting your time. Much of R & S is give/take relationship...I can give my input and I can take and become knowledgeable from others input. And because of your seniorness many here would like to hear your input on questions because you hold knowledge of the ages!!

Yes somevtimes I do think I waste my time here.
But being retired I have all the time to pass. So I spend some time on R&S hoping some might see right way reading what I say.
I hope some may stop bashing Muslims reading what I write.
It seems some have decided not to stop bashing Muslims and Islam no matter what I say.
Perhaps evil nature is hard to change.

Despite some of the chaos on here, I would not say I'm wasting my time on here.
I met amazing people here, some of the people had put me on their contact list before I put them on mine. I have wonderful people on my 360 page.
As long as God's willing, I want to use this as one way to be open with my faith and stand up for Jesus. I'm not going to get mean and nasty.
I feel my faith has been strengthened through this site, and I met soooo many inspiring people here. People who got me thinking. I enjoy my time on here despite rough spots. I just don't pay too much mind to it, and focus more on positive and meaningful stuff.
I'm sorry if the seniors won't come here because of mean remarks, but if I, going on 32, can be strong enough to be here despite mean remarks and let things roll off my back, so can the seniors.
I'll pray for others who want to be here, but are reluctant to be here.
Bless you in Christ's name!
Peace be with you!

Nope. Every question, every answer, gives me more and more reason to continue on my own path. I can reach out to someone who is searching, remember why I don't believe the way I used to, give someone a tiny bit of historical information, or get some information for myself. Education, no matter how much I have to dig though the crap to find it, is never a waste of time.

Its either wasting my time here or wasting my time fighting with my ex boyfriend, who is now pounding on my door outside in the cold and darkness to no avail. I find this to be a most excellent distraction to sit by a nice warm fire, have some hot coco, whip out my laptop, and include nasty slams on him in my answers as my neighbors call the police.
