I recieved the Holiday Herrington catalog and was surprised to see the "Runaway alarm clock that runs and hides to make sure you get out of bed!" Is this something that someone you know could use?

This clock has two big wheels attached to it. The ad says: I've missed a few flights over the years because it was just too easy to reach over and kill the alarm on an ordinary alarm or clock radio. So if you snooze, you loose. But Runaway literally jumps off your nightstand and sprints away forcing you to get out of bed to silence the alarm. All-terrain wheels let Runaway roam throughout your bedroom n carpet or hardwood, actually changes course if it runs into an obstacle! Lets you choose your snooze time from 0-9 minutes, giving you one last chance to snooze before it makes its move! $49.95

I went through several alarm clocks awhile back because I have this bad habit of knocking them on the floor.
Well, the last time I purchased a new one- did a good job-this one has outlasted my wandering arm.
The alarm clock is not my problem.
THE ACTUAL MOVING THE BODY OUT OF THE BED is.
Have you any solutions for this?

I sleep like a log. This tiny clock and it s tinkle would not disturb me. It need not run away from me for I would not hear it and so will not chase it. When the Koyna earthquake came the whole building got up and ran into the street. Then somebody remembered I was not there and kept calling me in unison.I woke up drowisily and yelled from the windownwhy were they making a scene. And when I heard I almost dropped dead but ran down the stairs into the street.

No. I'd have to hunt it down and kill it. I haven't had to use an alarm clock for so many years, I forget. And since Big Foot lives above me and gets up at 4 AM, I'm not far behind him in getting up.

I use my cell phone as an alarm clock. It has a unique feature, it says "It is time to get up, the time is 5;30 AM, or what ever time you set it for, if you do not shut it off, it repeats the time in a louder voice, then again, until it is screaming at you to got up. I sometimes lose my cell phone in my purse, I can't shut it off because I can't find it, in the meantime, people are staring at me while I "dig" for it!

I've already got one......my dog... does that every morning at 8 (and in the night a lot of time) he has an alarm set in his head, wish I could find the setting so I could change it for a lay in sometimes

I never heard of this clock. It sounds interesting. A better way to wake up for me would be to have Sean Connery fixing the coffee and staying around to drink some with me.

don't tell me they have something like that -- i have not used a alarm clock - but if that is the in hottest gift one of my many nieces will think that is the gift for me -- why don't folks do two things when it comes to gifts -- either find out out some one wants and get them that or nothing or and this is very important do not buy something just because you would like one and think every one else should have it!!!

it is impossible for an alarm clock to hide, I don't believe it. I get up when my bladder tells me to, and then I go back to bed.

I have a hearing dog, named Sadie...when my alarm goes off she paws me to wake up and won't stop until I shut the alarm off and sit up.
