I do not mind going to see this movie..it is entertainment and has no bearing on my spiritual life and my beliefs. Looks pretty good too..I like adventure and epic movies, always has me on the edge of my seat!!

I might go and see it. Im not much into fantasy; I am bored by Harry Potter books. But I am very much so into the HP movies. I suppose I lack sufficient imagination lol.
But perhaps I'll see it; it seems to have been well made with a big budget.
Im an atheist so no one's going to be dictating my entertainment sources....except for www.rottentomatoes.com I suppose:)

I intend to see it. Haven't read the book but the previews looked good and the story sounds entertaining. I love well done fantasy movies. I'm Pagan and I even loved Narnia and can't wait for the next installment of that one.

Hell yeah, I'll see it. The trailer looks awesome and look at the cast. It looks a little like Narnia. I love fantasy done well. I don't doubt that some will see witches and talking animals and totally miss the moral message of the movie. Good defeating evil, loyalty and all that satanic stuff.

I've been wanting to see it ever since I saw the "tease" trailer back in July. I've read all 3 books in the series and they were brilliant.

Forget about what the "critics" and "religious know-it-alls" are saying, go and see and judge for yourself. I only hope it's half as good as the books.

That crap about what the religious spokespeople say is in the books is just that - crap. If it's there, I certainly didn't find it when I read them.

I'll be honest; I haven't heard ANY Christian leader tell me not to see this movie.
I'm sure some where some TV guy must have, but to be honest, the only people who have told me that Christians shouldn't go are those who AREN'T Christians.
It's just funny I think.

As for going to the movie; I haven't really made up my mind. My kids don't seem all that excited about it, and I'm willing to wait till it comes out on DVD. that's just me though.

I'm Atheist, and yes probably I will see it. It looks interesting. I also saw Chronicles of Narnia and am waiting with baited breath to see the next one because the books were so good (and so was the movie).

I plan to. Largely, I'm curious how it will differ from the book. There's rather an extended trailer for it on the DVD version of Hairspray that indicates it'll be rather significantly different.

Nope. Can't stand crowds (they give me a case of the "means"). I'll probably read the books, or wait for it to come out on DVD (no crowds).

I won't see it because my wife doesn't like Nichole Kidman.

I bought the trilogy today and plan to start reading it in January.

I'll watch it when it comes on cable.
