you reminded me of Leonidas (and his 300 Spartans), when he said to Efialtis (the traitor):
- "May you live forever!"
Efialtis is translated as Nightmare in english...

What a great question, Ive never thought about it critically before.
To live forever I would say is a horrible thing. However the eternal life of christian belief is not bound to this world or our physical person and as such I think it is indeed a good thing. Of course it is a aspect of mystery in the christian religion, but my own faith tells me that the eternal life which God sacrificed his only son to gain for us is indeed a good thing.
Great question!

Eternal Life is great. Why? Because Eternal Life is God.
1 John 5:20; And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and Eternal Life.

well its not life as we know it and really its more life eternal rather than eternal life, think about it............ It is a sense of being one with all, the ability to know what it is to be a rain drop or snow flake, the power to enjoy being that summer breeze the trancendence of the spirit which returns to the essence from where all things come, I think that is such a reward for the end of a long journey don`t you?

I guess tha twould depend on your view of immortality. For the Christian, eternal life means an eternity of total and complete happiness in the arms of God. I donlt think you can get any better than that.

I never thought so . I'm one of those people that would get bored after 20 years and wind up doing progressively more dangerous things to see exactly where the limits of the envelope were.
What ultimately makes life fun is the knowledge that death is forever.

Yes, as long as I live in a mansion and walk on streets of gold and have a body that never dies or gets sick and no one I love dies either then yes...it's a very good thing.
This is from a christian viewpoint.
