I say yes. Patience is a big deal when your following Christ. Becoming totally dependent on God is a huge test of patience for me. It took me a few years and plenty of flunking before I passed the test. But if I never failed then I wouldn't need God in my life, so I'm grateful.

For sure. Anything genuine takes time. Each and every real thing that we have gained in this life, be it learning to walk by stumbling or learning patience by being put in impatient environments or situations....if it is worth anything, it will come by us going through it from the ground, up.

Some people may boast that they are patient and this may be true. Some have higher levels of tolerance than others but most of us as believers need to go through the giving up all our own strengths and weaknesses to the Lord. We find it easy to give up our weaknesses to the Lord, but what about our own natural capabilities. Is it just " us " doing things? Or has everything that we are in our natural man been passed through the cross and come out in resurrection?

May we all really be willing to take the way of the Lord when it comes to His attributes becoming our human virtues. If it is real its from the Lord. If is just from us it will eventually loose its "shine" and its potency. We can only build up the body of Christ in Love and this body is one that is built in spirit. May all that we are, be from our patient spirit, our loving spirit, our humble spirit.:)
