So, if I were to bring the Bible into school for reading (we have to have a fiction novel, you see), would that count?

You might well cite a case for its being fiction and would most probably be ostracized for doing so! Still, simply because people BELIEVE the Bible to be "the word of God" does not make that true; there is really no more proof for the Bible's being nonfiction than there is for the "Iliad", for instance, or "Le Morte d'Arthur", or any other work which was written long ago and can not be confirmed as the history of actual events!

just a comment here:
whether the Bible would be OK as a novel or not, the point I would like to make is that it is certainly allowed in a public classroom, as long as a student is using it and it is not being taught or used by the teacher to teach out of

(exceptions being a course specifically about the Bible as literature, in which case of course everyone would be needing to resd the Bible and discuss its meaning, but in a nondenominational way (those are always elective courses at a public school)

Okay... technically, the Bible is not a novel. It's a compilation. In its entirety, it has no singular plot. I think the Bible would be disqualified on that basis alone, whether it's fictional or not.

It should be classified as fiction; however, it is common knowledge that people know the bible to be of religious origins. Therefore, it should not be allowed in public schools.

Actually I believe the Bible tends to be classified as non-fiction in libraries.

i don't think so because the bible is largely accepted as true, some people might get very insulted if you did that. what type of books do you like to read? i can definitely recomend you some good ones!

Yes, it is fiction. If it's a religious school, then it's OK to bring it in. If a public school than it needs to be removed or kept away from it.

A secret novel could be between 60k and 80k words. i'm uncertain approximately your different question; i could think of that would desire to remember on the writer... possibly somebody else will understand.

That is a rather long book to read just for a school assignment and just to prove some kind of point.

Why would you want to hurt other peoples beliefs just to prove a point? Cant you just not believe in it instead of going out of your way to try to demean something other people consider sacred?
