I need links to articles about religion in school. Mostly about it being punished, ot it not being punished.

I'd prefer a reputable sourse. I am writting a paper on it.

I think its wrong to take religious things away from kids. Unless it is being distracting like any other non school thing. ( it shouldnt be counted as special)

I think that schools are having such trouble just teaching basics that religion is the last problem that they worry about.

Jocko (forgive me, my friend, as I couldn't see the rest of your forum name) gave you an excellent link to the ACLJ. They have been standing up for equality and freedom in public schools for several years.

May I add a couple more: The Alliance Defense Fund (www.adf.org) and The Rutherford Institute (don't remember their web site). Both of these also have helped people achieve their equal access in schools.

I hope this is helpful to you.

I agree with you, and in the USA, the law is on your side.

However, be careful of the horror stories you sometimes hear. In my experience, most of the stories are exaggerated, misreported, or even fabricated outright. There is a small minority of Christians who believe that lying is justified for the cause of legislating their religion.

Re: Jocko's link, the ACLJ is a front for Pat Robertson. Take that how you will.

Yup I totally agree, although I have no links, if this is a free country shouldnt the kids be able to have religious items in school if it doesn't affect them?

I don't have any documentation, but when I was in high school, me and a few others attempted to make an atheist's club in an all christian school. We were shot down faster than japanese airplanes.

I felt it was wrong and discriminatory. Damn christian nazis.
