But the thing is, it was like, 2:30 am and I had a Class D license because I hadn't gotten around to getting a Class C, so I wasn't legally allowed to drive after midnight at all. The cop didn't give me a ticket for that, though, which was really nice. Oh, and the other thing--I wasn't registered under the car I was driving because it was my friend's. He didn't say anything about that, either. Is that weird? Should I just suck it up with getting points on my license and having my insurance go up? I don't really have a strong case, do I? haha

I forgot to mention this was my first ticket, ever. Conditions were safe, no traffic, clear weather.

This was also on the highway, not a local area. I'll stop with the details now, sorry.

You have said nothing in the above that would show reasonable doubt as to your guilt.

Pay the ticket.

No, you don't have any case, let alone a strong case. You didn't say anything that would suggest you weren't guilty of speeding. Besides, if you go to court, you may get ticketed for the other violations that the officer overlooked.

If this is your first offense in the last few years, you could ask the district attorney's office to keep the violation off of your record. If agreed, you would pay the fine but it would not get reported to your insurance carrier. This alone could save you some big bucks in the long run!

I have a feeling that you are going to get into an accident and hurt yourself.
Maybe that will wake you up.

Here in Texas you also get a $1000.00 per year (for three years) fine added by the DPS . so I would fight it.
