Not at all. I'm Asian, and I am pleasantly surprised when my non-Asian friends can use chopsticks.
Eat on.

No it isn't wrong. Anyone has the right to eat his food with whatever utensils he finds handy or comfortable or to his liking. Eating with chopsticks is not exclusive to Asians. Chinese food is served all over the world. The proper way to eat ramen or noodles is by using chopsticks. If you're American and loves to eat ramen does that mean that because you're not Asian, you are not allowed to use chopsticks? Get real!

I can understand why you want to eat ramen with chop-sticks, it's all noodles and it is much easier to eat with chop-sticks however, I think you should be more concerned about it being an unhealthy food for an example, saturated fat, 20%( you shouldn't even be having saturated fat), Sodium 34%, way too much salt, we don't even need salt, it's a taste we acquire over time....Ramen also contains monosodium glutamate which has been tested and is known to be a carcinogin...

Nothing it wrong with what you're doing. I also eat all my Asian food with chopsticks and I'm just about as plain white bread as they come. My friends and family have stopped teasing me about it because I've been doing it for 25 years or so.
If you're looking to give someone a "reason" for why you do it, tell them that metal utensils interfere with the delicate Asian flavors. Also, maybe they are jealous that you can use chop sticks and they can't.

There's nothing wrong with a non-Asian eating with chopsticks. My family is Caucasian (I'm 1/2 Italian and 1/2 European mix) and we have multiple sets of chopsticks at home for when we make an Asian dish or order Chinese. My sister likes to use them to eat ramen, but I prefer a fork. My sister also likes to use them to eat pudding... I still don't understand that.
The point is that you're free to use whatever utensils you want to eat. You're not offending a culture by using chopsticks- if people have a problem with it, it's likely because they don't know how to use the chopsticks themselves. People get petty and jealous so easily.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with using chop sticks to eat Asian food. All of my family uses chop sticks whenever we have Japanese or Chinese food -even at home- and nobody perceives this as "ridiculous". Why these people are telling you there's something wrong with eating Asian food with Asian utensils...makes no sense to me. Maybe they feel uncomfortable or awkward because they don't know how to use chop sticks themselves and you just remind them of how inept they are.

Your ramen really sounds yummy as you would put it. I think you are right, eat Asian food with chop sticks, Moroccan food with your hands, and so on...just adds to the flavor!

Why would it be wrong?
You might wanna go easy on that yummy ramen, it's very salty especially if you drown it in yummy soy sauce. Bad for the old ticker.

Dude...Were any of those people Asian? Probably not. I think there's a huge difference between being cultured and too politically correct.
Just an Euroasian's perspective.
