Probably won't do any good even if you can.
More than half the time, when an illegal alien commits a crime and I arrest them, I STILL can't get ICE to come pick them up.

Yes. If you catch him right at the border. That is what the minutemen do. They then hold them and then wait for the border patrol. Once he has gotten in, the answer is no. The only crime an illegal commits is when he crosses the border itself. Remaining in the country is not a crime in itself. So no, you can't go into your local restaurant and arrest the busboy or your landscaper, although you should be allowed to!

If you could you would probably have to get someone from ICE or the border patrol to come to take them into custody. The city police won't deal with it in most areas. To bad.
