Have you ever known anyone who constantly "stares" at people & rarely talks?

I know this doesn't sound "paranormal"...but I think it must have something to do with mind control. There was this "leader" who did this to just about everybody...for sure to me. You'd be trying to discuss things with him and he's just "glare". Just about drove everybody nuts. He was into spiritual things. Is there some kind of paranormal thing you can do to people with your eyes? (I realize this sounds REALLY dumb. I'm just hoping for some info from someone who knows what I'm talking about.) Did any of you see that old movie with John Barrymore where he controlled women? Kind of the same thing. (I'll try to find the name of the movie.)(It was "Svengali".) (really weird movie)

EDIT...I remember one time I looked at his eyes & it seemed like he didn't have a soul. Stunned me. Maybe he was a "black eyed kid" grown up.lol

pd...thanks for telling me that. Makes me feel "less crazy". I know he was New Age or Santaria..something like that.

Land...but then I wondered if he had on contacts.

Snow...but not to do it ALL THE TIME. I don't think people have a right to "spy" on other people's thoughts.That's like going into their home without permission and looking through their drawers.

The stare thing - just an attempt at dominance. Some people are very good at it.

People stare for many reasons. Some are just intense listeners while others are not aware they do this while still others are trying to intimidate people. I am Wiccan and have not known any of my fellow wiccans to do this as something spiritual.

Some people are just freaky and do not mean to be this does not mean they do not have a soul because if they did not they would not be alive.

Now there are psychos and wackos who stare but not every one who stares is psycho or wacko.

I am an observer of people and I may be guilty of staring. I do know that often when talking to people they ask me not to look at them like that and I have no idea what they mean because I am just looking at them listening to what they are saying.

It also works in my favor when trouble makers want to start trouble all I do is just stare at them waiting for them to make the first move and will not say a thing and this seems to bother them so much they leave.

I think with me it has a lot to do with my eyes. I have very dark brown eyes, but one is lighter than the other because it was blue when I was a baby. I had one blue eye and one brown eye. I also have bad eyes and am very near sighted and one eye trembles a lot and I guess if someone is not use to me they may think this freaky.

It does not sound paranormal to me or even spiritual.

Sounds like a hypnotist...or maybe someone who has certainly worked long hours to 'improve' on his stare.

This type of people normally take tabs of the others around them, then present the information of the others around them in this sort of manner. So that it looks like 'magic'.

Try this out: Go with a friend and use a psydonum (nickname...etc) and try to get the guy to find out your name.

I love to stare at people, look right in the eyes, it's like looking at their soul, it's very interesting, try it sometimes. At that moment you feel like thoughts are creeping into your head.

i know exactly what you mean, ive had it happen to me so many times, i find it really uncomfortable....
alot of people cannt work me out (which is good) and even my auntie does it to me some times, and im pretty sure they are doing it, to try and tune into you.... my auntie will ask questions about me to my other family members, because she just cannt work me out, it must be a gemini thing....

EDIT i find when people will do that, just stare at you while you are talking to them, it feels like they are not listening, or not taking in what you are saying or telling them, or feels like their mind is completely some where else, its feels frustrating, and i usually just stop talking and just leave it at that...do you feel the same way, when it happens to you

I have known any number of people--New Agers, born again Christians, Wiccans, punks--who have stared. Some did so because they had such a strong, buzzing degree of self-confidence while others were just doing it to make people uncomfortable.

You are right about when you looked in his eyes and it was like he doesn't have a soul............He isn't a Real Christian then.
