I am 29 and I watch MTV. There is no music videos on these days just reality t.v. Most reality t.v. is known for drama. I would sit down and watch it with them one day. If you feel comfortable then the decision is totally up to you. I don't usually watch during the 3:00 to 8:00 p.m . time range that this 11 year old is probably watching though.

An eleven year old shouldn't be watching "MTV" any more than they should be watching "Fox" or "CBS". They should be watching particular programs, turning the TV off afterwards, and going to do something else.

I would say no. I am 26 and I'm embarrassed about watching MTV in front of my parents. It's too sexual, language, alcohol, drugs, fights etc... Example: The Real World.

The music videos are too explicit and dirty, I wouldn't recommend it.
