To most women, if they get jealous of their man, it seems like they want their man more. However, with me I want him less and it makes me want to leave him. Why do I react this way?

I react the same way.... and its basically because in the back of my mind I am always saying "I dont need this"... and technically, its caring for yourself to an extent where you feel you would be happier alone and on your own, then with someone who could make you insecure and jealous.

This is actually self-preservation and your walls are most def up.. you are also scared of allowing yourself to become vulnerable to an unfamiliar or unwelcome feeling. It is NORMAL. There are SO MANY women out there who are proud of their independence and their strength, that it is SO much easier to just walk away from an unpleasant situation.

The problem with women like us? We may end things with the ones we love before its even over.... and then regret it because we never fought it out.

Its normal and it doesnt matter what age you are or where in life you are... its a matter of fully being able to trust your partner to a point where you allow yourself to become vulnerable. I havent gotten there yet, but I'm working on it.

Easier said than done

It is called self-pride and I feel the same way. I had a guy try to make me jealous and it worked against him. . . I left him alone. I don't have time to worry about what he's doing. . . if anything, he should be worrying about what I'm doing. I don't have time for the drama.

Sounds like a normal jealous reaction to me.

That is a good question. Maybe because you have been hurt some many times that you don't want to get hurt any more.

You don't like to have disagreements, and having to deal with jealousy means you have to deal with something that is upsetting. It is easier to walk away than confront your feelings. After a while you get immune to hurt.

I'm exactly this way. I just try to avoid it and let it go, then he notices that something is bugging me and he tells me what's wrong and I tell him that I feel like he's going to leave me for someone better and he always reassures me and makes me feel better.

Well, why not ask yourself if you really love your boyfriend? The normal attitude of a girl who loves their boyfriend is to be jealous if they saw others flirting with him, so they does not want to share their boyfriend, they become possessive..

Maybe you just don't really love your boyfriend that much.

Thanks

it could be that you are not attracted to him anymore!!! Ask yourself Do you love him, does he do things that annoy you alot, and does he love you? if the answer to the questions are what you want them to be then, only you can come up with the answer!! Goodluck!!!!
