It Depends On The Camera. There Are Currently Four Major Types: COMPACT FLASH (Types I & II), MEMORY STICK, SD And XD.

There Are Other Types As Well: FLASH MEDIA (OLD) FLOPPY DISK (OLD) SMART MEDIA (OLD) MICRO DRIVES (Cameras That Take Compact Flash Type I)

And Several New Types Under Development: MEMORY STICK DUO, MEMORY STICK MICRO, Mini-SD, Mini-MMD, Mini-XD Which are Smaller, Faster And Higher Capacity.

Cameras That Take SD (Like Kodak) Their Cards Should Fit In ANY Camera That Takes SD (Like Canon ELPH)

Any Camera That Accepts SD Should Accept MMD And Mini-SD & Mini-MMD (With Adapter)

P.S. When Buying Media Cards Try Not To Buy Anything Thats Too New Or Too High Capacity, Some Cameras Won't Accept Media That's Too Advanced For Their Circuitry And Will Give A 'CARD ERROR' When Used.

No, older Kodaks all used Compact Flash and current us SD. If you have two cameras purchased in the past 2 to 3 years then they both should take the SD. 3-4 years and you are running a 50/50 chance. Any older and they are definitely running Compact Flash.
