In addition to greeting guests, these people will make sure that guests sign the guest book, they will hand out favors, direct gift-givers to the gift table, and direct guests to their seats. However, they are not ushers as they do not physically show guests to their seats. I would like a unique/special way to address these two people on my wedding programs. Thanks.

This is a new problem! People used to ask their friends to do certain things (manage the guestbook, serve punch) and didn't give them a title because weddings didn't have programs with cast lists.
Greeters seems like the best title. Some bad options spring to mind: guest wranglers, hall monitors, boss ladies, pit bosses, guest managers, assistant hostesses...

Well, since they're greeting the guests as soon as they walk in the door, I'd call them greeters. Since they're not ushering guests directly to their seats, they're not ushers.

Hmm... other names for greeters (since it is kinda bland)... what about Welcoming Attendant? Got a little ring to it... anywho, good luck with your wedding!

Try calling them door men, or guest services specialitst, or greeter/usher.

Since they are responsible for greeting and having guests sign the guestbook, then they are guestbook attendants. You could also call them greeters or reception ushers if you want, but guestbook attendant fits better.

I like welcoming attendants. Most of the time though, they are credited as guestbook attendants... but, since they are doing so much more, I love the idea that someone posted about welcoming attendants.

Hi. Why not simply call them "greeters" or "reception attendants."
